So Fur Elise is harmonically structured around A minor (and would typically be written in that key signature as a matter of convenience). But I draw a distinction between music that is harmonically all diatonic to A natural minor (i.e., is in A minor) vs. music that is structurally centered around A minor (isn't strictly in A minor).
Beethoven scholars are not entirely certain who "Elise" was. The most reasonable theory is that Beethoven originally titled his work "Für Therese", Therese being Therese Malfatti von Rohrenbach zu Dezza (1792-1851), whom Beethoven intended to marry in 1810 and was also one of his students.I thought it would be fun to combine Beethoven's "Fur Elise" with the two most famous 5/4 songs into a mashup. Here's the sheet music.https://www.mymusicshee
